We’d like to thank everyone who has supported our hard work on D-Pad Hero by donating. Since we’re making and releasing the games for free anyway, we figured it’s time to pass your contributions on to a worthy cause.

Still children at heart, we care about kids’ well-being, rights and opportunities. To this end, we chose to support The Children’s Defense Fund Beat the Odds Program. From the CDF page:

The CDF Beat the Odds program recognizes and awards college scholarships to young people who have overcome adversity in their lives, demonstrate academic excellence and have given back to their communities.

Who knows, one of those kids could be the next great game developer. (Or a doctor. Those can be useful too.)
