Thanks to thefox’s comment to the previous post, I’ve made a new build that should fix the issue with “random” joypad input when D-Pad Hero is played on the most recent versions of Nestopia. You can download it here.

I see there are some reports of the game glitching up in Nestopia; specifically, that the Start button is pressed even though it isn’t.
I don’t really know where the issue lies, if it’s Nestopia or D-Pad Hero. (Did anyone try it on real hardware yet? I guess that would be the ultimate test.) We’ve tested D-Pad Hero with version 1.3.9 on Windows and it works fine. It also works fine with Nestopia 1.3.6 on Mac OS X. I have verified that it’s glitching up in Nestopia 1.4.1 on OS X, though. If you could post the OS & version where the game acts weirdly, that would be helpful, thanks.

Reviews are generally positive so far, but a few have commented that the game is too hard.
Do you think that’s the case?
Are you playing with a keyboard or a game pad?
What’s the best medal collection you’ve achieved?
Obviously we have been playing the game for quite some time during the testing phase, so maybe we’ve just gone blind difficulty-wise… But with a game pad, it can be mastered, trust me.
